Apple fans hit the NYC flagship store for iPhone 7

The first Apple customers in New York City to snap the new iPhone 7 off the shelves cheered as they entered its flagship store on Friday (September 16), flanked by applauding sales staff.

“Today is my 23 days outside Apple store here in New York City,” said Jaime Gonzalez in line before the store opened. “Last year I did it but then because I didn’t pre-order, that’s the reason that I didn’t went first. There was another lady from Europe who decided to take care of the No. 1 spot. But this is me and now in 2016 it’s right to be No. 1 and I am going to be No. 1 this time.”

NCC orders Visafone to vacate 800 MHz band

The Nigerian Communication Commission has ordered Visafone Communications Limited to stop operating in the 800 MHz band due to its interference with Smile Communications Limited signals.

The Commission gave the directive after the end of its second Quarter spectrum monitoring exercise, saying that Visafone should switch off all CDMA signals in the 800 MHz band entering into Ikeja, Lagos area.

This is even as the report showed that the industry regulator had recovered from Layer 3 Limited, one of the internet service and metropolitan fibre optic network operators the sum of N34, 066,537.28 outstanding financial obligations due to the NCC.

Apple Set to Remove Headphone Jack in the Next Version of iPhone

Sacking Jack May Anger iPhone Headphone Fans

Steve Wozniak, Apple co founder recently said removing the headphone jack in the next version of the iPhone is going to “tick off a lot of people.” It’s been rumored for months that Apple would be scrapping the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the iPhone 7 it’s expected to unveil next week.

Wozniak said in an interview,said such act could upset users who have invested in listening technology that uses the headphone jack.

Ditching the headphone jack could be the prelude to another rumored new product: Bluetooth earbuds based on a very-low-powered radio chip developed exclusively by Apple.
